Note (Additional information about the record)
- Rot. Scot., vol. II p.155 is dated 26 February 1401, and would seem to be in response to this petition. It would seem from this calendar that the safe-conduct is for a year, but Bain, vol. IV no.576 (19 May 1401, and a calendar of no.2613 of C 81/609) makes it clear that it is for a quarter of a year only, as requested by the petition.
