Nature of request
The Abbot and convent of Abingdon state that the foresters of Windsor are claiming in their manor of Whistley and Hurst a benefit called 'metehorn', which is the right to be supplied with two meals a week for themselves and their servants, contrary to the tenor of their charter for this manor. They ask that their estate in the manor might be confirmed, quit of this claim; and they ask that this might be done without paying fine or fee in Chancery.
