[A section of this petition is missing.]Peter Claysson, master of the Christopher of Schiedam in Holland, states that during a voyage to Teignmouth his ship was captured by the French, who took away an Englishman who was on board and then let it go. The ship was then [attacked by] Thomas Knolles, William Cot, William Edwyn, Robert Longe, John Edward and Thomas Park of Bourne near Pevensey, and others. He requests a commission to Nicholas Mauduyt, one of the King's sergeants at arms, to arrest Thomas, William William, Robert, John and Thomas, and their goods and chattels, and to hold them securely until he is delivered and restored to his ship by Nicholas.
