Nature of request
Walter, son and heir of Geoffrey de Launde, states that Geoffrey held certain lands in Ireland of the King in chief, and that after his death the King's lieutenant seized them into his hand, and granted the keeping of them to a Richard Lenyngton; and Walter and his closest kin sued to have the keeping of them for the valuation as the statute wills, but without success, to Walter's great harm. He asks the King to grant him and his closest kin the keeping of these lands for the valuation, according to the statute, and to make allowance to his kinsmen for his sustenance until he comes of age, as the law demands.

[On face] The King has granted this bill provided that he pays at our Exchequer in Ireland as much as those who have the keeping of these lands at present.[None on dorse]
