He asks that he might have Caumont and half of Gontaud for himself and his heirs, as the King had already promised him through the late Duke of Lancaster, as his other lands are in the hands of the French.3) He asks that he might have Castel Senheur in the Agenais, which he already holds for term of life, for himself and his heirs.4) He asks that the Constable of Bordeaux or his lieutenant might be ordered to pay him some money owed him.5) He states that he has captured Caumont, Castelmoran, Castel Senheur, Dubort Saint Pierre, Coveux, Fauillet and Gontaud from the French, and that before they rebelled they had the liberty of not paying the great custom at Bordeaux. He asks that he and his heirs might receive the great custom for themselves in these lands.6) He asks that he might hold Castillones for term of life.7) He asks that he and his heirs might have three old sterlings of England on each tun of wine passing along the Garonne past Caumont.8) He asks that a revocet et adnullat of all gifts made and to be made might be added to all these patents.

Note
From the reference to the late Duke of Lancaster, this petition would seem likely to date from around 1399. The petitioner's claim that he has served the King all his life might seem to suggest a date in the reign of Richard II rather than that of Henry IV.
