Nature of request
[Petition in 5 parts:]1) He states the breakers of the truce have not returned the goods which they stole from him and his people this year, as they swore to do before the King of France's seneschal and commissary. He asks the Duke to write to the King of France, and to the dukes and constable of France, to aid him to recover his goods.2) He states that the King granted him certain things contained in a bill, and had it sent to the Chancellor to give him letters patent; and Scrope has the bill in his hand and for various reasons has not expedited it. He requests his letters patent.3) He asks that he might be given, for term of life, certain things given to Gauci Arnaud, John Sherwynd and Raulin Tuder.4) He states that about three years ago, while he was in the realm of Aragon, at war in the cause of the Count of Foix, the French stole his livestock, during the truces and without cause. Payment was agreed for these animals, but has not been made. He requests letters patent to have arrests made so that he might be paid.5) He asks that a revocet et adnullat of all gifts made and to be made might be added to all these patents.
