Nature of request
Writ of Richard II to the sheriff of Warwickshire commanding him to direct a scire facias to Maureward to come before the king in Chancery on the octave of Michaelmas to show why his letters of collation to Wolney prebend should not be revoked, Ellis de Sutton having complained by petition that Maureward had expelled him from the prebend.1)
Nature of endorsement
Richard Ashby, sheriff.2) It is to be caused to be known that Mawreward should come at a day and place contained in the writ to do what is required by the writ by Allen, Bromley, Bate and Bull.
