Description
Petitioners
Warden and canons of the collegiate church of Ottery St Mary.
Addressees
King.
Nature of request
The petitioners request that the council make judgment in their dispute with their tenants in their manor of Ottery St Mary, who have unjustly withdrawn their services. Despite earlier orders by the council the parties have been unable to come to agreement, and the tenants are now seeking to have the matter decided according to the common law rather than the customs of the manor, to the disinheritance of the petitioners.

Places mentioned
Ottery St Mary, Devon
Newcastle-under-Lyme, [Staffordshire].
