Nature of request
The Abbot of Quarr requests justice since Cary, in right of Margaret, his wife, held the manor of Holloway of the abbot as of his manor of Farwood by homage, fealty and service of 10s. yearly, of which services the abbot was seised by the hands of Holeway, and the manor was seized into the King's hand in the eleventh year [1388] by judgment made against Cary in parliament at Westminster so that the services are withheld and unpaid.
