John, Earl of Huntingdon and admiral of the South and West requests that whereas the office of the admiralty has, from time of memory, held jurisdiction everywhere within the floodmark, inside and outside franchises, without being disturbed, troubled or resisted, until recently when the mayor and sheriffs of London and several others have disobeyed the admiral's commands and orders, that the King order that the mayor and sheriffs be heard and examined by the King himself or by commissioners ordained for this.
