Lassels requests justice since as the grandson and heir of Ralph Lascelles he should be seised of the advowson of the church of Kirby Knowle, as was his grandfather who presented Selby, who was duly instituted and inducted by the then archbishop of York in the time of Richard II, but after Selby's death the King presented Calais.
Nature of endorsement
This petition was read at Westminster before the lords of the council on 16 June in the third year [1425] and it was agreed that justice would be done.
