Ponynges and Philippa request that whereas at the time of his death Hastings was seised of the castle and county of Pembroke, the castle and lordship of Cilgerran and the commote of Ystlwyf in such estate that Philippa should be endowed thereof, and because Hastings was then underage the possessions were seised into the hands of first Edward III and then Richard II and are now in the King's hand, that the King grant the petitioners the dower of the possessions which belongs to them to have as in right of Philippa with issues, notwithstanding the King's seisin.
