Pierre Gombaut of Puch Vigey.
Name(s)
Gombaut, Pierre
Addressees
King.
Nature of request
Gombaut recounts that he is the true heir of his grandmother the Marquess de La Motte and of her mother, so that by right of inheritance he should hold the entire moiety of Cantenac and Ludon-Medoc with their goods and appurtenances as did his grandmother and father, but Pons and Florimont de Podensac hold part of this land including Cantenac and its goods. Although he has often come before the seneschal of Guyenne to prove his right, Pons is always absent and so cannot answer and Florimont gives the excuse that he is a cleric, so the petitioner cannot have justice or recover his inheritance. He requests that letters be directed to the lieutenant and seneschal of Guyenne to do justice without delay or that the parties be given a day to appear before the King.
