Pulleham requests that whereas in the second year of the King's reign [1378-9] Pole granted him a rent of 20s. yearly for life from his tavern in Stamford in a place called 'be hynd the bak', of which rent he was peaceably seised until the tavern, with Pole's other lands, were seised into the King's hand by Pole's forfeiture as a result of the judgment returned against him in parliament at Westminster, that the chancellor be ordered to pay the petitioner the rent or arrears as granted by Pole.
