- Alexander, archbishop of York requests that whereas, when he was in the King's service, certain people of York and others committed various trespasses and injuries against him, whereupon he sued an oyer and terminer, but to prevent him from having this action, the said people and others of York pretend to have a supersedeas of the said oyer and terminer, that the King order the keeper of the great seal to grant no supersedeas in this case, and that if the said people make any false accusation against him, he may be given a day to answer.
