Marchall requests that whereas by his letters patent the Duke of Norfolk granted him for life the office of parker of Haynes with its fees and wages, and lately the King has granted Rayle the same office, that the King grant the petitioner his letters of the privy seal to the chancellor to cancel Rayle's patent and that he confirm the grant of the office to the petitioner.

Dated on the guard to 1398, since this is the date of the Chancery warrant with which it was formerly enclosed (C 81/578 no.12532). In 1399 the King revoked his letters patent to Rayle in accordance with the petition (CPR 1396-9, p. 486).
