Note
The petition dates to 1365 as a commission of oyer and terminer was issued in response to part of the petition on 16 February 1365 (CPR 1364-7, pp.141-2). The letter of the privy seal with which this petition was originally enclosed is dated to 26 March, but with no regnal year, which causes some problem with the dating as this would seem to suggest a date after the issuing of the commission!
