Pelham requests that his charter of pardon be renewed and amended without paying a fine as he was granted a pardon at the request of the late duke for all that he had done against the king in times of war and also outlawries and trespasses but his surname was so badly written that the original pardon is of no value.

The petition dates to 1361 as the petitioner was granted what must have been his original pardon on 16 February 1361, and it is possible that if he was granted a renewal that it was issued with the same date as the first (CPR XI (1358-61), p.549.
