Nature of request
Letham requests that he be granted fees, advowsons and the services of the free tenants of the 200 marks worth of land granted to him by the king in lieu of an annuity granted to him by the king for his inheritance, and also in enlargement of his charter release the services of the vill of Letham, and all other lands that are held of the castle of Dunbar, making to the king the other services and customs. He requests delivery of the vill of Horden.
Nature of endorsement
The king grants him the fees, services and the advowsons of churches, abbies and priories. Concerning Horden, Manivelle is summoned to show how he holds the vill, and the chancellor of Berwick is to certify if assignment can be made for Manivelle elsewhere.

Note
The petition dates to? 1349 as the privy seal warrant with which it was formerly enclosed dates to 9 November 1349 [2[3] Edw. III] (C 81/343/20764). The date has been question because the dating clause of the warrant clear states this to be 21 Edw. III, though it is filed amongst warrants of about the same date in the month, but of 23 Edw. III, and it is not clear whether this is a scribal error or a subsequent archival error that he misplaced the warrant.
