Wycomb and Spicer request that letters under the privy seal be sent to the chancellor to send writs to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer to cease their distraints on Spicer until the octave of Trinity, and that they will then discharge them of the sum if they can find that their ship did not break the arrest of the king on shipping and that the ship had been arrested by Montgomery to take Ingham to Gascony and was returning from there.
Nature of endorsement
He should have a writ to the treasurer and barons to cease their demand until the octave and enquire of the truth of the matter, and if it is found true then he should be discharged.

The petition dates to 1349 as the privy seal warrant with which it was formerly enclosed dates to 21 April 1349 [23 Edw. III] (C 81/337/20114). The order was issued to discharge Spicer on the same day (CCR 1349-54, p.76).
