Eure, Stoke and Conyngere request a commission to take their recovery of their damages on the people of the realm of France as they have a commission of the court of France for a recovery of damages on the English found in the realm of France. They had their cargo and ship seized by the people of Montivilliers and Le Havre by a commission because of alleged losses of ships and cargos to the English.

The petition dates to 1349 as the privy seal warrant with which it was formerly enclosed dates to 18 July 1349 [23 Edw. III] (C 81/340/20478). The commission was issued into the matter on 20 July 1349 (CPR 1348-50::pp.387-8).
