- The abbot requests that the chancellor be commanded to by the king's letters to try the right of the abbot to the visitation of the hospital of St James, as the king delivered the abbot's petition on this to the chancellor but he did not wish to do anything without letters of command. Now for default of absolution the brothers of the hospital are excommunicated.
