Nature of request
Guilhem Santz requests that the king will receive his sister and two of her sons into his obedience as they have resided in the obedience of the French, and that the sons with their three brothers, who have resided always with the petitioner in the king's service, be restored to the land of the father. If he will not receive them, then he requests that he restore the three brothers.
Nature of endorsement
[On face:]Let the king be duly informed and afterwards make his grace to those that have always been in his obedience.[On dorse:]1) At the supplication of the seigneur de Pomiers.2) It pleases the king that the lady and the two brothers who are still of the part of the French be received to his obedience, and that restitution be made to them of their inheritance. And the seneschal and constable inform themselves by what manner the inheritance was given to Bret and make satisfaction to him elsewhere to the same value.
