- The petition dates to 1346 as the privy seal warrant with which it was formerly enclosed dates to 12 September 1346 [20 Edw. III] (C 81/314/17822).The petition must shortly postdate the appointment of Thomas de Berkeley to arrest the Beysis issued on 20 July 1346 (CPR 1345-8, p.182).
