[Petition in 3 parts:]1) The bishop that the king will clarify and enlarge upon his charter so that he have all fines and amercements of the seneschalcy and Marshalcy and clerks of assay made before the king or other ministers. The king's ancestors granted to the bishop's predecessors that they should have all fines and amercements for trespass and licence from all his lands and his fees of the abbot and monks of Glastonbury and others, and of the king and his ministers.2) The bishop requests that the king will clarify and enlarge upon his charter granting that he and his men be quit of all tolls throughout England extending it to all his lieges of Wells and of the bishop's other boroughs and all free and neif tenants of the dean and chapter of Wells and the prior and convent of Bath.3) The bishop requests that the dean and chapter of Wells and the prior and monks of Bath and their tenants be quit of quayage and pikage as their charter grants that they be quit of pavage and murage throughout England. The bishop requests confirmation of all his other charters.
