[Petition in 4 parts:]1) The abbot requests confirmation of their charter of King John which has been damaged in the wars, the seal being broken and worn but still recognisable.2) He requests confirmation of an exchange made between the late earl of Gloucester and the abbot's predecessor of £100 sack rent for land taken in Glamorgan and Morgannwg by the earl.3) He requests confirmation of a grant of Mowbray of licence to hold in mortmain the land of ap Howel in Llandeilo Tal-y-bont and appropriate the church there.4) He requests confirmation of the grant of a burgage in the marsh of Neath to their house by the Zouches.He requests these because the lands are not of the king's lordship but of the lands of Wales and held of the lords who have all manner of royal liberties.
