Leave to Mr J G Knight (Judge, Assistant Court of Appeal and Registrar of the Friendly Societies). Forwards copy of his application and confirms granting him three months vacation on full salary and one month vacation at half-salary from 1 September 1900. States that he has no objection to Mr Knight's taking leave from 1 January 1901 as long as a replacement is found but that he leaves the whole matter in the hands of the Secretary of State.
