Description

These books - known as Domesday Books but properly entitled Duties on Land Values - were prepared by the Inspector of Taxes and contain details of the valuation of land in the City of London and in Paddington for the purposes of duty under the Finance Act (1909-10), 1910. They provide basic information relative to the valuation of each property, including the valuation assessment number, map reference, owner, occupier, situation, description and extent.

Separated material

Other surviving Domesday Books have been presented to local record offices under s.3(6) of the Public Records Act, 1958.
