Captain Fleetwood Emes, the Sorlings, the Downs. He sailed with fifteen sail under convoy arriving on the 3rd where he received Admiralty orders to sail to the buoy of the Nore and await further orders. He hopes the account of the loss of the Newport will be accepted as he can only estimate the force of the French ships, believing Captain Paxton had sent an account in his report, but he gives extra details.
