Bermuda: St George's Island. Plan 1: 'Sketch showing the Situation of S t Catherine's Point with respect to Retreat Hill and the Ship Channel'. Scale: 1 inch to 100 yards. Compass indicator. Drawn by H D Harness, Lieutenant, Royal Engineers, 7 December 1833. Signed by William B Tylden, Brevet Major, Royal Engineers, to accompany his letter and estimateof 10 December 1833. With MS pencilled additions and annotation: 'W Howlett Annex to this a piece of paper to shew the site of the intended Eastern Redoubt and the shore in rear of the New Hospital'. Half of this sketch is drawn in pencil only and was probably added at a later date.
