Twelve sheets of drawings of works at St John's, Quebec, (now in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada) originally made to accompany estimate and letter number 69 of 15 April 1841 from Lieutenant Colonel J Oldfield, Commanding Royal Engineer. (3) No1: 'Plan of proposed Redoubt A. in advance of the restored works S t Johns. Canada as referred to in the letter of the Inspector Gen l of Fortifications dated 31 st Dec r 1840 N o 1762'. Scale: 1 inch to 100 feet [1:1,200]. Compass indicator. Signed by Lieutenant S Westmacott, Royal Engineers, 31 March 1841. (4) No 2: plan of proposed Redoubt Platform. Signed by Westmacott, 23 March 1841. Scale: 1 inch to 20 feet [1:240]. (5) No 3: upper floor plan of proposed Redoubt A. Signed by Westmacott. Scale: 1 inch to 20 feet [1:240]. (6) No 4: lower floor plan of proposed Redoubt A. Scale: 1 inch to 20 feet [1:240]. Signed by Lieutenant P J Bainbrigge, Royal Engineers. (8) No 6: plans and sections of the bridges over the ditch of the redoubt and from the landing on the ramp to the keep. Signed by Westmacott.
