St George's Island. 'Plan of the Ordnance Lands at S t George's Bermudas. To accompany Respective Officers Letter of 12 May 1840 and forwarded in obedience to the Hon ble Boards Order of 1 st Jan y 1840'. Reference table to Signal Hill, Retreat Hill, Hutchinson's Lot and part of Barr's Lot. Approximate scale: 1 inch to 100 yards [1:3600]. Compass indicator. Signed Major C Wright, Commanding Royal Engineers, 12 May 1840.
