Guernsey. Plans relating to defence works on Castle Cornet. (32) Location plan showing range and arcs of fire of Castle Cornet batteries, Fort George and Saint Peter's Port. Scale: 1 inch to 300 yards. Compass indicator. (33) Plan and sections of the Cavalier showing proposed batteries for the west and south faces. Scales: plan: 1 inch to 20 feet; sections: 1 inch to 5 feet. (34) Plans and sections showing the alterations proposed to complete the Cavalier and mount five guns on the Dwarf Traversing Platforms on other parts of the works. Scale: 1 inch to 20 feet. Compass indicator. Overlays show the alterations to the works. Inset: site plan of Castle Cornet showing ranges and arcs of fire, at a scale of 1 inch to 300 yards; with a reference table and note and compass indicator. (33) and (34) signed by Lieutenant Colonel P Barry, Commanding Royal Engineer, to accompany his letter of 7 June 1853; (34) also signed by Lieutenant Colonel [?G B Fraser] Commanding Royal Artillery. Dimensions: (32) 17.5 cm x 25 cm; (33) 63.2 cm x 27.5 cm; (34) 52.5 cm x 70.6 cm.
