Description

Bengàsi (now Banghazi) and Augila (now Awjilah). Africa 1:1,000,000 combined sheets NH34 and part of NI34 Bengàsi-Augila. Reference table. Compass indicator. MDR [Middle East Drawing and Reproduction] 440: compiled and reproduced by 512 (A Field Survey) Company, RE, October 1941; overprinted with air information to become MDR 718. Annotated: 'Not to be Published With Air Information as supplied by H.Q., R.A.F., M.E., (1), Oct. 1941'. MS additions show the British retreat from east of Sirte (or Surt) to Tobruk in 1941.
