Kent: Hythe. Plans and sections of a retaining wall at Sandgate Battery. (9) 'A': plan showing the work done by Sandgate Local Board. Scales: plan: 1 inch to 5 feet; section: 1 inch to 2 feet. MS pencil amendment to title: Sandgate deleted, replaced with Shorncliff. (10A) 'Section apparently contemplated by Sandgate Local Board'. Scale: 1 inch to 4 feet. (10B) 'B': plan and sections showing the part to be rebuilt by the Sandgate Local Board. Scale: 1 inch to 5 feet. (9) and (10B) signed Colonel L Nicholson, Royal Engineers; and Captain A C Mackenzie, Royal Engineers; both dated 26 July 1873. Dimensions: (9) 50.3 cm x 76.5 cm; (10A) 20.3 cm x 33 cm; (10B) 50.3 cm x 76.5 cm.
