'The Shetland Islands'. Approximate scale: 4.875 inches to 10 minutes of Latitude [1:149,662]. Compass indicators. Insets: Hillswick (or Urie Firth); Balta Sound; entrance to Scalloway; and Bressay Sound (or Lerwick Harbour); scales: 2 inches to 1 nautical mile [1:36,480]. Admiralty chart 1118: surveyed by George Thomas, 1833; engraved by J and C Walker; published 22 March 1838; with additions and corrections, 1856-June 1872. Signed Major E D Malcolm, Royal Engineers, for Commander Royal Engineers, North Britain, 17 January 1878; and Colonel John Y Moggridge, Commander Royal Engineers, North Britain, 21 June 1878. Coloured MS addition of Fort Charlotte.
