Libya. 'Egypt and Cyrenaica 1:250,000': 4 sheets of a map on multiple sheets: (4) sheet 1 'Bengasi' (Benghazi or Banghazi) - MDR [Middle East Drawing and Reproduction] 1006/2421; (5) sheet 2 'Derna' (Darnah) - MDR 1006/1882; (6) sheet 8 'Agheila' (Al 'Uqaylah) - MDR 1006/6003; (7) sheet 12 'Marada' (Maradah) - MDR 1006/6004. Reference tables to roads, railways, towns, the nature of the terrain, etc; glossaries to Arabic topographical terms and colour names; indexes to adjoining sheets; indexes and notes relating to gridlines. Partly based on sheets of an Italian map at the 1:400,000 scale; compiled, drawn and reproduced by 512 Field Survey Company, Royal Engineers, October-November 1942. Overprinting, coloured, showing information about aerodromes, landing grounds, etc supplied by the Royal Air Force, 'Going' information, collected by units of the Eighth Army, and arrangements for the movements of mixed mechanised forces; reference tables to the overprint.
