Lower Canada (now Quebec): Quebec City. (2, 5-6) 3 maps showing land adjacent to Saint Vallier's Street (Rue Saint-Vallier) proposed to be purchased by the Ordnance from Mr Flavien Dufresne. Scale: 1 inch to 100 feet [1:1,200]. Compass indicator to item (2). Item (5) copied from an original map signed by Lieutenant J Gebb. Each map signed by Colonel E W Durnford, Commanding Royal Engineer: (2) dated 3 December 1830; (5) dated 25 March 1820; (6) [undated]. (3-4) 2 sheets of drawings of Mr Dufresne's house: (3) plan of the cellar; (4) front elevation and plans of the upper floors. Scale: 1 inch to 8 feet [1:96]. Item (4) signed by Captain S C Melhuish, Royal Engineers, 13 November 1830. All five items originally accompanied a letter from Colonel Durnford and Richard Penn, Ordnance storekeeper, to R Byham, Secretary to the Board of Ordnance, 3 December 1830.
