Two reproductions of tracings lent to the War Office by the Hydrographic Department, Admiralty, in July 1910 and returned there in May 1912. (4) Drawing C1770-Je: 'Mediterranean Sea. Malta Island Calibrating Range Triangulation Sheet surveyed by Captain J. W. Combe, R.N. November 1906'. Scale: 11.65 inches to 3 sea miles [1:18,788]. Notes on construction of triangulation; table of triangles; description of stations. (5) Drawing B4408-Rg: 'Mediterranean Sea. Malta & Gozo Islands Triangulation Sheet by H.M.S. Stork 1893'. Inset: 'Base Triangulation'. Description of main stations; trigonometrical tables. (Sgnd) Morris H Smyth, Commander in charge of the survey. Red and blue ink additions give bearings. Dimensions of sheets: (4) 49 cm x 71 cm; (5) 34 cm x 60 cm.
