Reproductions of two maps originally made to accompany a letter [date not stated] from the General Officer Commander in Chief, Malta Command, to the Secretary to the War Office. (2) 'Map of Gozo. Showing portion of great and minor triangulations'. Scale: 2 inches to 1 mile. Compass indicator. Coloured MS additions show the great and minor triangulations. (3) Map of Malta east of Valletta, showing grid for triangulation. Scale: [2 inches to 1 mile]. Coloured MS additions show the origins for latitudes and longitudes; discrepancies in distances. Annotated: 'This is the only map which offers any showing of the origin & central meridian.' Both sheets initialled by V L, 14 January 1910; and signed by F G Howard, Captain Royal Engineers, and G F Leverson, Colonel, Commanding Royal Engineer, 5 February 1910. (2) is also signed by L Gatt, [Superintendent of Public Works, Valletta], 22 January 1910. Dimensions of sheets: (2) 37.5 cm x 59.5 cm; (3) 63 cm x 34 cm.
