'Sketch shewing the site of a plot of ground, part of the Battery at Folkestone, applied for by Mr. Maycock, per letter dated 5 th May 1848'. Also shows the Ordnance boundary; part of Ordnance property proposed to be left for a road to the battery; public footpath and road. Scale: 5.4 inches to 70 feet. Compass indicator. Signed by Alexander Gordon, Captain, Royal Engineers, 13 May 1848. Initialled by W B Tylden, Lieutenant Colonel, Royal Engineers, to accompany his report of 13 May 1848.
