Iraq: Basra province. (1) Blueprint diagram of the anti-tank ditch referred to below. (2)-(4) Survey of India 1:50000 sheets (2) 50 TC 62, 82, 60 and 80 'Az Zubair', (3) 50 TC 42 'Az Zubair', and (4) 50 TC 44 and 46 'Shu'aiba Junction RE' with coloured, MS additions showing the course of a continuous anti-tank ditch between Tel Jadiya and Khor Zubair. Reference tables. Compilation indexes. Indexes to adjacent sheets. Explanation of grid references. Notes on orientation. Surveyed and compiled 1940-1941. Heliozincographed at the Survey of India Office, Dehra Dun. Published under the direction of the Surveyor General of India. Edition of May 1941. These sheets together constitute Map A, originally annexed to Basrah (Basra) Defences Directive No 1 dated 24 July 1941, itself Appendix D to the war diary of Indian troops PAIFORCE, 'G' HQ L of C, July 1941. Sheet sizes between 22 cm x 35 cm and 67 cm x 70 cm.
