Hong Kong. Five plans of barracks at Stanley for (11) sappers [Royal Engineers]; (12) 16 married men of the Ceylon Rifle Regiment with a barrack store; (13) 3 officers of the Ceylon Rifle Regiment; (14) 12 married men, 5 native officers and 1 staff sergeant of the Ceylon Rifle Regiment; (15) 6 companies of the Ceylon Rifle Regiment; all showing layout and dimensions. Reference tables on (13) and (15). Scales: (11)-(14) 1 inch to 10 feet; (15) 1 inch to 130 feet. Compass indicator on (15). Originally accompanying a report dated 30 August 1847 by Lieutenant Colonel G Philpotts, Royal Engineers, Royal Engineer's Office, Victoria, Hong Kong to the Inspector General of Fortifications. Sheet sizes between 31 cm x 32 cm and 35.5 cm x 61.5 cm.
