Sudan. Two plans of the action near Rosaires on 26 December 1898 showing the positions of Egyptian and Dervish forces. The nature of adjacent terrain and an island on the Blue Nile are also shown. Reference tables. Scales: 1 inch to 300 yards. Compass indicators. (9) signed by H H Hill, 27 December 1898. Originally accompanying a report dated 8 February 1899 from Baron Kitchener of Khartoum to Viscount Cromer, Consul General in Egypt. Dimensions of sheets: (7) 30 cm x 38 cm; (9) 22.5 cm x 31.5 cm.
