Kent. Plans of (121) No 2 Battery and (122) No 1 Battery at Dungeness. Boundaries and dimensions of Ordnance property, buildings, beach land and high water marks are also shown. Reference tables. Scales: 1 inch to 50 feet. Compass indicators. Initialled 'W.B.T' and signed by Captain Alexander Gordon, Royal Engineers, 29 July 1848. (121) also signed by John Studd, Royal Engineers' Office, Hythe, 29 July 1848. Originally accompanying a return of land property dated 31 August 1848 by Lieutenant Col onel William Burton Tylden, Royal Engineers, Dover to the Inspector General of Fortifications.
