Sussex. Plan of Rye Harbour showing the site of tower 29. Surrounding Ordnance land, the beach and the high water mark are also shown. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to 50 feet. Compass indicator. Initialled 'W.B.T'. Signed by Captain Alexander Gordon, Royal Engineers, 13 July 1848 and by W J Kelly. Originally accompanying a return of land property dated 31 August 1848 by Lieutenant Colonel William Burton Tylden, Royal Engineers, Dover to the Inspector General of Fortifications.
