Kent. Plan of No 2 Barracks at Hythe showing fields, gardens, the hospital, stables, yards, workshops, quarters, stairs, a well, offices, the parade ground and the boundary wall. Surrounding streets and buildings are also shown. Reference notes to colouring, land size and value. Scale: 1 inch to 60 feet. Compass indicator. Signed by W B Tylden, John Studd and Captain Alexander Gordon, Royal Engineers, Hythe 25 July 1848. Originally accompanying a return of land property dated 31 August 1848 by Lieutenant Colonel William Burton Tylden, Royal Engineers, Dover to the Inspector General of Fortifications.
