Kent. Plan showing Ordnance property in Chatham and St Margaret's. Boundaries, Fort Pitt, towers, roads and the River Medway are also shown. Reference notes on colouring and sizes of land. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. Compass indicator. Signed by Lieutenant Colonel William Henry Slade, Royal Engineers, and originally accompanying his report dated 27 July 1848 to the Inspector General of Fortifications. Annotated 'To accompany the Returns called for by the Master General's and Board's Order dated 12th June 1848'.
