Kent. Plan of Ordnance property in Aylesford purchased in 1844 as a site for a proposed lunatic asylum. Boundaries, roads and the site of the 'Old Bell' [Inn] are also shown. Reference note to colouring and land size. Scale: 1 inch to 100 feet. Compass indicator. Signed by Lieutenant Colonel William Henry Slade 27 July 1848. Originally accompanying a report dated 3 May 1849 by R Byham, 84 Pall Mall, London, to the Inspector General of Fortifications.
