Sussex. 'Plan No 24' of the coast between Cliff End and Toot Rock showing Ordnance land subject to a proposed sale. Roads, a canal, the village of Pet [Pett], the coastline with high and low water marks and towers 37 and 38 are also shown. Reference notes to land sizes. Scale: 1 inch to 200 feet. Compass indicator. Initialled 'W.B.J.'. Signed by Captain Alexander Gordon, Royal Engineers, 18 August 1848. Originally accompanying a report dated 3 May 1849 by R Byham, 84 Pall Mall, London, to the Inspector General of Fortifications.
